Goregrind\Death metal frontman Charlie spends a little time with Eumsn Bones this evening to talk about his band..
Vishal - Hello Charles this is Vishal from Eumsn Bones, What are you doing nowadays, any recordings, shows or tour?
Charlie - Hey bro Goregreets.At the moment we working on our album,which is long pending.Since Gani(guitarist) is back from the caribbean,we gonna play few gigs and keep the filth going.
Vishal - Can you tell us about the journey of your band till date?
Charles - We started in the end of 2004,with the following lineup - charlie - vox,gani - bass/guitars and ali - drums.We played lot of local gigs to name a few like Undergrind,Trendslaughter fest and Brutefest.We also played in Dismembering Asia Fest with Putrid Pile and Wormrot in 2010.Our big break was when we released our demo on Sevared Records (U.S.A) in 2006,which got our demo titles Ruptured Within Seconds spread across the underground grind/death scene from North/Sotuh America/Europe to Asia nd Australia.We then got to know lot of bands/zines/distros and friends from the underground scene.
Vishal - How it feels to be in underground metal?
Charlie - It feels gr8 to be playing this kinda musick and knowing lot of sickfucks who think the way we think and enjoy doing what we always wanted doing.Go to know lot of insane ppl and offcourse pretentious/2 faced elitist,cult scumbags.OOps No offense! haha Fuck Em Lol!
Vishal - Well EUMSN would really appreciate if you tell us more about your music and recommend us some bands from your homeland?
Charlie - We play grind/death with gore,sickness,necrophilia,anatomy,medical,pathological themes and loads of rape,snuff cannibalism fantasies.There are too many to recommend,wht cums to my mind are bands like Gruesome Malady,Anorectal Ulceration,Festered Wound,Head Splash,Perforated Limb,Grossty,Semen Commando,Nauseate and Vicious Bliss.
Vishal - How is the Local metal scene out there and Do you like it?
Charlie - Well honestly im not uch into the local metal scene.The bands We listen to always I have mentioned in the previous question.
Vishal - Ok, tell us where do our readers can buy your music and other merchandise?
Charlie - We have had our demo CD on sale in 2006,but its sold out now.They can download from our myspace and youtube links.
Vishal - What are the future plans of the Gorified?
Charlie - Our plans would be to release our album early next year and then work on the next album or split cd.
Vishal - Do you hate anything? Like anything,.
Charlie - Acutally I hate too many things,dont know for what reason, it can be sensible or silly.I also like too many things,guess that eqautes and makes me a normal person HAHA!!!
Vishal - Which is the album you want to take inside your grave?
Charlie - hmmmm too tough to answer that.I'm a greedy person,so would take a shit load of albums with me in my grave.
Vishal - You are still unheard in Nepal, do you have any plans to come here in near future?
Charlie - Offcorpse!! It would be gr8 to play in Nepal sometime,heard u guys have very small yet insane scene.
Vishal - List of the Bands that you really appreciate from your homeland?
Charlie - I would recommend Bands like Gruesome Malady,Anorectal Ulceration,Festered Wound,Head Splash,Perforated Limb,Grossty,Semen Commando,Nauseate,Vicious Bliss.
Vishal - Beside Gorified you have any other projects?
Charlie - Besides Gorified,I have 3 projects.Festered Wound (gore grind),Head Splash(noise grind) and Bad Taste (grind gore/death).
Vishal - Can you tell us about your Discographies?
Charlie - We just have one release so far i.e Ruptured Within Seconds - Demo,released in 2006 on Sevared Records (U.S.A)
Vishal - In general term Extreme Metal isn't appreciated by Society what do you have to say on this?
Charlie - I dont care if the scoiety appreciates it or not.There are lot of people who appreciate and play this kinda musick.
Vishal - Ok, what do you want to tell those peoples who rips off your hard work?
Charlie - Honestly,im okay with ppl downloading musick from internet as far as the music reaches out to a lot of people .Those who can afford to buy a record and support the band is even more Awesome!!!
Vishal - Do you appreciate those fans who downloads your music?
Charlie - As I said in your previous question,its okay with me if people download our musick and get to spread.Maybe after downloading our musick,it might interest them to go ahead and buy our record.
Vishal - How hard it's surviving in Underground Metal Scene?
Charlie - We both have our regular jobs to support ourselves and survive,music is our passion and we absolutely enjoy doing it.I guess its gonna be hard for those people who want to do it full time.
Vishal - In near days,if any bands from Nepal approach you for a Split ALbum are you going to approve this?
Charlie - Ya sure why not. We would be open to do a split with any band which interest us.
Vishal - Metal has to be underground or metal has to go mainstream, what's your opinion?
Charlie - It can be anything,as far as it makes metalheads and the bands playing metal/crust enjoy it .If U ask about Gorified,we would like to remain underground as the glitz and glamour in the mainstream is too bright and shady for us to be in.AHAA!!
