Vishal - What are you doing nowadays? 

Abraxas – First of all thank you for giving us the opportunity to present our work to an even broader audience. We are currently recording a 2-song promo cd for our full length album that is due to finish sometime during the summer of 2013.

Vishal - Can i get the story of your band and biography? What is the meaning of Incest in Heaven exactly means to the band?

Abraxas – "Incest in Heaven" was formed in 2009, in Thessaloniki, Greece, by Abraxas(guitars) and Xaphan(drums) as a death/black metal project . After a while Nik Os( Bass) and Growler( vocalist of "Erevos") joined the band. On 2010 Xaphan left on friendly terms and the position was filled by Simeth.
On the spring of 2011 the band's first demo "Misbegotten" was released.

The current line-up of the band will be announced with the release of our new promo cd.

“Incest in Heaven” is a name picked by the band, mainly to provoke religious puritans and to prepare potential listeners that what they are about to hear is no fun ride! 

Vishal - What are the lyrical themes you use in your song?gore, horror, politics, anti religion etc..

Abraxas – Our lyrics are mainly nihilistic and against all the mainstream norms that define our society (religion, politics, illiteracy etc.). There is no pattern just one cause, to awaken the listener and make him think for himself.

Vishal - How it feels to be in a Underground band? And for how many years you are in this scene?

Abraxas – It feels good to be in the underground scene! Everything is more direct and humane. But on the other hand there are a lot of things that hold you down. We are relatively new to the scene (only 4 years).

Vishal - Which are the bands that have influenced your band most?

Abraxas – Mayhem, Death, Emperor, Akercocke, Atheist, Dying Fetus

Vishal - What are the future plans of Incest in Heaven? any tours, releases, recordings etc.

Abraxas – Release our promo, finish our LP  “BITE OF THE ADDER” and promote it with gigs. Perhaps after that search for a distribution label.

Vishal - What is your opinion on sites posting Underground Materials?

Abraxas – Totally support them! Nowadays it’s the only way to find some of the greatest bands of our time.

Vishal - How do you feel about the classifications in metal? like deathcore, metalcore and other subgenres..

Abraxas – I acknowledge the main classifications in metal (black, death, thrash, crust, etc.) but I believe that each band has its own sound and cannot be fully classified.

Vishal - In general term metal isn't appreciated by Society what do you have to say on this?

Abraxas – Society has never appreciated the newest forms of art, especially those that questioned everything. Metal is a controversial kind of music, made to shake the very foundations of our society. So I think it’s expected that metal music and metal society is considered an outsider.

Vishal - Ok, what do you want to tell those peoples who rips off the band hard work and illegally downloads their music?

Abraxas – If you don’t have permission from the band don’t do it. Don’t destroy the music that you support. 

Vishal - Beside Incest in Heaven do you have any other projects too?

Abraxas – I used to play the guitar at EREVOS but now I want to dedicate all of my time at IIH.

Vishal - Is it hard surviving in underground Scene?

Abraxas – It is, but it is also very rewarding. You start from zero and you slowly evolve. Really difficult procedure, but worthwhile.

Vishal - Metal has to be underground or metal has to go mainstream, what's your opinion?

Abraxas – Metal has to stay a word for music and nothing more. There are great underground and mainstream bands so there is no law that can govern everything. The only thing that everybody has to keep in mind that it’s all about the music, NOT about the photos, the publicity, the girls etc.

Vishal - What is your opinion on the current state of underground metal?

Abraxas – The main problem is that everybody claims to be a “metal fan” but in reality they only support mainstream bands. Very few are willing to give an equal chance to an underground band.

Vishal - Which is the album you want to take to your grave?

Abraxas – Sound of Perseverance, no second thoughts !

Vishal - Can you recommend us some good bands from your country for our readers?

Abraxas – Head Cleaner, Inveracity, Vulnus, Mortal Torment, Murder Made God

Vishal - Support Underground Metal, how much you agree on this quote?

Abraxas – 100% ! Just do not close your mind to great bands gone mainstream.

Vishal - Where do our readers can buy and listen Incest in Heaven music and any other merchandise?

Abraxas – They can contact us through our pages and we will send them our merchandise via post mail.

Vishal - Do you remember your first show with Incest in Heaven, How was it and how did the crowd reacted to your first show?

Abraxas – Our first show was 3 years ago,  on a festival in a town next to our hometown, called Kilkis. It was a great night for all of us, we had a great acceptance from the crowd and really fond memories for all of us.

Vishal - Metal Fans from Nepal doesn't have a proper way to reach your records and any other such bands, Is there an easy way so we can also get the hold of cds, shirts etc

Abraxas – I am afraid not. At least not yet. We hope to sign with a worldwide distribution agency soon and therefore be able to reach our fans throughout the globe.

Vishal - Do you have any plans to come to Nepal in coming days?

Abraxas – We will plan gigs outside Greece after the realease of our Full Length CD.

Vishal - What do you hate in Underground Metal?like, anything..

Abraxas – Hipster metalheads and people that like only the first album of bands.
