On the 15th & 16th of June, 2018, we are coming up with the 3rd installment of Grind & Mosh. This is going to be bigger & louder than ever before. For 2 years, Mosh and Grind was a one-day show. We took a break in 2017. We are happy we can do this 2-day Grind & Mosh, with more than 22 international and local bands! We are proud to announce the following bands that will be playing in Grind & Mosh 3 2018. Stench Consultants from U.S.A. will be the headliner of the 1st day & Banglalore (India) based grindcore act, Grossty, will co-headline, along with a 1-man harsh noise outfit, Chrup, from the Czech Republic. Also playing and supporting will be grindcore outfit, Torture Goregrinder, from Bangladesh, and death acts, Chaotic Dread and Wrath, all from India, along with 6 fine bands from Nepal.
The 1st edition of the Grind and Mosh Fest was held in 2015. It was our first step to organize the most extreme & brutal fest in Dharan (eastern nepal). Dharan is very small town but we still had everything that we needed. The 1st edition was headlined by grindcore outfit Rip Off from Bangalore (India) & was co-headlned by Death metal tidal waves, Pisakas, from Bangalore (India). Seven Nepali bands supported Rip Off & Pisakas. Grind & Mosh 2015 was the 1st event that brought international bands to Dharan (eastern Nepal). This first installment of Grind & Mosh was the most outrageous and killer show that had ever happened in Dharan. More than 180 fans attended & all went crazy like bulls at the show, with the moshpit also out of control. It was an absolute extreme & memorable day for everyone, This first show was a great achievement, as it was the first time in our country to introduce the extreme music genre to the masses. We proved that we could showcase a crazy extreme music festival in Nepal.
After the 1st installment of Grind and Mosh in 2015, Eumsn, Brutal Pokhara, & Alliance in Struggle came up with the 2nd installment of Grind & Mosh in 2016, which was headlined by death metal band, Neuroticos, from Japan, & co-headlined by grindcore maniacs, XrepeatX, from India. This second time around, Grind and Mosh included more than 10 bands from Japan, India, & from various cities of Nepal.
This year, Mandatory Genocide from Dharan will open the show on the 1st day. They also will make their 1st appearance & their debut show in Dharan. They are a newly formed band & it will be their 2nd show, They already proved they could kick ass in Birtanagar, which was their first public performance. I loved their passion & dedication towards music.
Alright, let’s talk about the 2nd day of Grind and Mosh 3, 2018. Headliner for this day will be Fastcore/Punk outfit, Rabies, all the way from the Czech Republic, & co-headliner will be non other than the mighty Wakk Thuu, the 1st grindcore band from Nepal, and who has inspired other bands to play Grind. It is their debut show in eastern Nepal. Postmorterm Fetal Extursion, Tod Fod, & Snuffx, all hailing from India, will also make their appearance on this day. Hardcore outfit, Shannon Scam, will also play, which is also one of my favourite bands. Four more local bands from Nepal will play on the 2nd day, 23 bands in total! This time, the ticket price is more expensive than the 1st & 2nd installments. This is the chance for all the comers to support us honestly, and without hesitating. There is no bargaining to buy tickets, for sure, so we need your co-operation. Without you we are nothing.
We would like to thank & salute all the bands that played in the 1st & 2nd installments of Grind & Mosh, and we also appreciate all the bands's hard work, and thanks to all the comers who will travel a very long way to reach Dharan for this special Grind & Mosh. We hope to see you all for the show, and lastly, it is not easy to organize underground extreme metal shows in a third world country like Nepal without sponsors. Thank you sponsors!
