Festering Remains (Brutal Death Metal from Sweden)

Official Facebook Page- http://www.facebook.com/FesteringRemains

Description :- Formed in late 2011. Festering Remains started out as a Black Metal band called "Demonic Funeral, at the time, only Erik and EX-member Oliver were running the band. Although after some time they both realized they wanted to play Death Metal, so with a bit of contacting, Tim Svanberg was announced to be the bands new vocalist, the band name was changed and then Festering Remains was created. After a while Oliver Dahlbäck decided to quit the band. Festering Remains plays Brutal Death Metal with alot of elements of "Old School" Death Metal and pretty much almost every kind of element there is to be found in Death Metal.

Interview :-

Vishal - Can i get the story of your band and biography? What is the meaning of Festering Remains for the band?
Tim
- Before Festering Remains was the name of the band it was called "Demonic Funeral". Demonic Funeral was a Black Metal project that Erik(The Guitarist of Festering Remains) and Oliver Dahlbäck (Our former drummer). Erik although, had always been more of a Death Metal person than a Black Metal person. Erik wanted to play Death Metal and Oliver agreed to changing the bands style since he also wanted to try something new(He had never been in a Death Metal band before). Oliver knew me, so he brought me into the band to be the new vocalist. But they wanted to change the name and so did I, so we started to come up with different names until I finally came up with "Festering Remains" and the band was created in late december 2011. We had band practices all the time, but after a while of trying to rehearse the songs we were writing back then in early 2012, Oliver seemed to lack some motivation to play in the band. He was constantly messing up during rehearsals because he didn't really want to play them. He didn't like playing Death Metal although he was a big fan of the music. So he quit the band and Erik and I continued on without him. We were ready to put all of our spare time into this band so we continued to write our debut EP we were planning on releasing. We had already been working on the songs for about 3 months, and we spent the other 7 months contiuing to write it. We finally got to record it in October 2012 and on the 25th of October, we made an own online release of the EP. And that's the bands current story.

Vishal - What are the lyrical themes you guys use in your song?gore, horror, politics, anti religion etc..
Tim
- The songs on the EP are all Horror/Gore songs. Every time i was to write lyrics for a song i watched a horror movie before beginning with the work. For example, our song "Deformed Hillbilly" is based on the Wrong Turn movies. Although, we're currently writing a new EP. And i've changed the lyrical theme a little bit. The gore is still in there, but i have also added alot of psychological elements into the lyrics.

Vishal - How it feels to be in a Underground Scene? And do you appreciate your local scene?
Tim
- It feels great! Erik and I are both die-hard Death Metal fans. And we mostly listen to Brutal Death Metal which is a pretty underground scene, being apart of it is something we've dreamed about for years. Our local scene is pretty good, we have a few local Death Metal bands that are both great. Like the Death Metal band Daemonicus and our friends in the Melodic Death Metal band Fisherman's Death. Also bands like Meshuggah and the Black Metal band Naglfar are also from this city we live in, but there's also a HUGE amount of Metalcore bands that aren't really too much of our taste.

Vishal - Which are the bands that have influenced your band most?
Tim
- We have alot of different influences, but some of the bands that has inspired us alot are: Viral Load, Gorgasm, Putrid Pile and Suffocation.

Vishal - What are the future plans of Festering Remains? any tours, releases, recordings etc.
Tim
- There will be a physical release of our debut EP "Stabbed Beyond All Recognition" coming soon. We're writing a second EP at the moment and searching for more members to start playing shows.

Vishal - What is your opinion on sites posting Underground Materials?
Tim
- We don't really care about it too much. As long as they ask us if they can post it and not downloads it for free and posts our music with out asking. We're both against downloading.

Vishal - How do you feel about the classifications in metal? like deathcore, metalcore and other subgenres..
Tim
- These "Core" genres(Not Grindcore though! We both love that shit) are most often music that's not of our taste. I listen to a very small amount of Deathcore, which is like two bands. And like one Metalcore band. And it's pretty much the same thing for Erik. But if it's good none of us cares about the genre of the music, but we do think these genres are bad since they have such few bands that we think are good.

Vishal - In general term extreme metal isn't appreciated by Society what do you have to say on this?
Tim
- It's nothing that bothers me really. I don't really get complaints about my music or anything. And if someone that's not a fan of the music tries to argue with me about why it's so "bad" they never know a shit about what they are talking about. I'm happy extreme music isn't something that every person on the planets listens to. It would be really boring if that was the case in my opinion. I've never wanted to be like everybody else anyway.

Vishal - Ok, what do you want to tell those peoples who rips off the band hard work and illegally downloads their music?
Tim
- I despise downloading, a lot. I think it's important to support the bands that you listen to so that they can continue making music. But i don't mind of people chooses to download as long as they're not trying to convince me that downloading is better than buying, because it's not. If anyone tries to convince me downloading is better than buying the music I will tell them to fuck off. I'm against it, but people has they're free will to do whatever they do. So if they want to download, fine. But it's not going to change my opinion about the subject.

Vishal - Beside Festering Remains you have any other projects too?
Tim
- No, not really.

Vishal - Is it hard surviving in underground Scene?
Tim
- We haven't really been apart of it for too long, but I think it's not that hard as long as you stay dedicated to what you do. But you can't live of off your music unless you're Cannibal Corpse, but you can still be apart of the scene as long as you keep doing what you want to do in it.

Vishal - Metal has to be underground or metal has to go mainstream, what's your opinion?
Tim
- I'd prefer if it stayed underground. If the whole world would listen to Metal it wouldn't be the same thing in my opinion. I've never wanted to be like everybody else and I never wanna be. Metal is something of my own that i can keep close to me, because there's nothing i'm more passionate about. I want to be able to keep feeling that way about the music and the entire community that Metal is.

Vishal - What is your opinion on the current state of underground metal?
Tim
- I think it's at a good position at the moment, it's growing within the metal community and i hope it keeps doing that so that more bands will be able to reach out to more people within the Metal scene.

Vishal - Which is the album you want to take to your grave?
Tim
- Killing on Adrenaline by Dying Fetus. My favorite album of all time by my favorite Death Metal band of all time.

Vishal - Can you recommend us some good bands from Sweden for our readers?
Tim
- Two bands from our city: Daemonicus (Death Metal) and Fisherman's Death (Melodic Death Metal).
Also two more Swedish bands that really deserves more attention: Hatecharge (Death Metal) and Void (Experimental Death Metal).

Vishal - Support Local Metal, how much you agree on this quote?
Tim
- To 110%

Vishal - Where do our readers can buy and listen Festering Remains music and any other merchandise?
Tim
- Not really sure what you're meaning right now.. But if you're referring to our merch and music, CD's of our debut EP will be avaviable soon, and we will also be getting shirts in the nearest future.

Vishal - Do you remember the feeling of your first show with Festering Remains? and how did the crowd reacted to your first show?
Tim
- We haven't played any shows yet. But when we finally have our first one I'm sure it will be great!

Vishal - In near future if any band from Nepal aproaches to you for a Split Album, are you going to approve this?
Tim
- As long as It's a good band that we ourselves would enjoy listening to, yes.

Vishal - What do you hate most? Like anything..
Tim
- Probably religious propaganda. And alot of other religion-related shit too.

Vishal - Your dream metal fest line up?
Tim
- Every band that i like, hahahaha.

Vishal - How do you look at this when Vocalist says "LOIFE" instead of "LIFE", is it a trend or..?
Tim
- I don't really mind that.

Vishal - Quick top 5 albums we must have in our collection.
Tim
- Dying Fetus - Killing on Adrenaline, Obituary - Cause of Death, Amon Amarth - Twilight of the Thunder God, Cerebral Bore - Maniacal Miscreation & Lord Belial - Enter the Moonlight Gate. These are not all of my favorite albums of all time. But some of the favorites in my own collection.

Vishal - Lastly, a space for you anything EUMSN have forgotten to ask you can tell us here?
Tim
- Nope, it seems all fine to me!But i can add that Festering Remains consists of me, Tim Svanberg - Vocals, Lyrics and Erik Karlsson - Guitars, music.

If Hope Does (Metal from Darjeeling)

Official Band Page - http://www.facebook.com/pages/IF-HOPE-DIES/124328317633904

Aakash from If Hope Dies exclusively replies to our questions,

Vishal - Can i get the story of your band and biography? What is the meaning of If Hope Dies exactly means to the band?
Aakash - IF HOPE DIES took birth in mid 2010, It was just a sharing idea between me and Abinash(guitarist), two lads from Sukna (foothills of Darjeeling) to do what we love for & were friends since childhood and grew up listening metal together, so it was like a desire for us to form a band, write good songs and perform. IF HOPE DIES, its kind of incomplete sentence you know people can take it in both positive and negative way like for us, IF HOPE DIES then we wouldn’t be forming a band, we wouldn't have been playing good gigs & sharing stage with really cool bands, for us its all about positive HOPE. “HOPE = DRIVING FORCE”

Vishal - What are the lyrical themes you guys use in your song?gore, horror, politics, anti religion etc..
Aakash - Most of our lyrics are about life, about us, about society, about frustration & anger. We are bunch of lads pissed off with many things going around us.

Vishal - How it feels to be in a Underground Scene? And do you appreciate your underground scene?
Aakash - Well its neutral for us. Its like SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST.Those who work hard give 100% in what they do then  I am sure, they will rise above all. Dedication is must.

Ummm, underground metal scene here in Siliguri/Darjeeling sucks no proper gigs, ain't even proper platform to perform & most probably the organizing committee they sucks big time, they promise of something and they end up doing something. All they care about is themselves, they don’t see how hard the band has tried to put up a show. & to tell you a good number of bands are rising these days it feels good and gives a a good positive feeling for the coming future.

Vishal - Which are the bands that have influenced your band most?
Aakash - Loads and loads of bands… its all about rock and roll.

Vishal - What are the future plans of If Hope Dies? any tours, releases etc.
Aakash - We have recently parted our ways with drummer due to personal issues, so we are staying low on the gigging side we will be fully active after we found a proper replacement. And yes, we will be releasing our new singles soon. Keep an eye on our official facebook page.

Vishal - What is your opinion on sites posting Underground Materials?
Aakash - That is something way beyond good. Its like introducing new band/music to the people who haven’t even heard of. So hats off to that.

Vishal - How do you guys feel about the classifications in metal? like deathcore, metalcore and other subgenres..
Aakash - fuck genre. Its metal.. pure fucking metal!!!

Vishal - In general term extreme metal isn't appreciated by Society what do you have to say on this?
Aakash - A big shout out to the society FUCKK YOU!!! From the bottom of our heart. Seriously, we don’t even give a fuck.. metal is for us.

Vishal - Ok, what do you want to tell those peoples who rips off the band hard work and illegally downloads their music?
Aakash - All I can say is support your fav. Bands. Somehow. Either buying their cds/merch or by  attending their gig.

Vishal - Beside If Hope Dies you have any other projects too?
Aakash - No.

Vishal - Is it hard surviving in underground Scene?
Aakash - Well yes, but who gives a shit about it, we know what we are doing and so do people will, hopefully.

Vishal - Metal has to be underground or metal has to go mainstream, what's your opinion?
Aakash - See, this kind of things its doesn’t matter to us whether its mainstream or underground… as I told earlier its about METAL…and the hardwork the band put into. Some make it big few remains the same.

Vishal - What is your opinion on the current state of underground metal? esp. South Asia
Aakash - Growing growing and growing… it feels good.

Vishal - Which is the album you want to take to your grave?
Aakash - Well there are few… UNDYING INC (AGGRESSIVE WORLD DYNASTY), SLIPKNOT(IOWA), JOINT FAMILY (HOTBOX), ION DISSONANCE (CURSED),AFTER THE BURIAL(RAREFORM) & MESHUGGAH (NOTHING).

Vishal - Can you recommend us some good bands from your place?
Aakash - Yeah… SINISTER VIOLENCE, GRUNGY MORPHINS, CIRCLES END, SYCORAX, DAMAGERA, EYESTILL & BURN THE WATER this bands can really make it big & make our place proud.

Vishal - Support Underground Metal, how much you agree on this quote?
Aakash - 100%....no local bands no underground metal scene.. so I say each and everyone of you \support local metal/

Vishal - Where do our readers can buy and listen your music and any other merchandise?
Aakash - As of now you, no merch no buying stuff. You can listen and download our song at

Vishal - How was the feeling of first Live show as a If Hope Dies? and how did the crowd reacted to your first show?
Aakash - To tell you we were over excited and little bit of nervousness…but in the end of the day we pretty much nailed that gig… people they loved us, they were highly impressed, we still have nothing to complain about our first gig.

Vishal - In near future if any band from Nepal aproaches to you for a Split Album, are you goin to approve this?
Aakash - Oh yes we would love to. Obviously with BINAASH,WAAK THUU & NARSAMHAAR.

Vishal - Is there anything you hate most? like anything..
Aakash - Like society, wannabe fuckers & people who hate us,,, etc. etc .

Vishal - How do you look at this when Vocalist says "LOIFE" instead of "LIFE", is it a trend or..?
Aakash - It depends upon the vocalist how they want to pronounce it.. for me its simple “laaaaaaaife”.

Vishal - Quick top 5 albums we must have in our collection.
Aakash - UNDYING INC (AGGRESSIVE WORLD DYNASTY), SCRIBE(MARK OF TEJA), JOINT FAMILY(HOTBOX), SKYHARBOR(Blinding White Noise - Illusion & Chaos) & THE SAFETY FIRE(GRIND THE OCEAN)

Vishal - Lastly, a space for you anything EUMSN have forgotten to ask you can tell us here?
Aakash - Nothing. We just want to say that we are bunch of guys with down to earth & straight on you face attitude. Love us, we need you people cheers. \SUPPORT LOCAL SCENE/. Thank you EUMSN, this conversation means lot to us. \../,

Foreskin (Crossover Thrash from Pakistan)

Crossover Thrash act from Lahore, Pakistan. Formed as an anti-thesis to the metal scene of Pakistan, in 2009.

Download their album - http://foreskin.bandcamp.com/album/anger-management

Official Facebook Page - http://www.facebook.com/foreskinband

Hassan replies some our questions tonight.

Vishal - Can i get the story of your band and biography? What is the meaning of Foreskin exactly means to the band?

Hassan - Basically me and Amar started the band in 2009 cuz we were sick of boring music in our scene. We wanted to play some fast shit and not some boring mainstream metal that everyone else was doing. We wanted to be the Anti-Thesis of the Metal scene in Pakistan. We wanted to start a proper fucking Thrash/Crossover band!

We thought of the name in the back of our Business Studies class, just off the top of our head. It suited cuz we wanted a "WTF" kind of name that would grab attention, hahah. We recorded 2 small demos with Amar on Guitar and me on Vocals only, and they were very raw and shitty as Amar was just getting the hang of guitar and I started vocals for the first time. We did a couple gigs, 2 went cool, the other 2 pretty bad but oh well. We recorded a 3rd demo called BITP (Brawling in the Pit) which was our first demo that got some kind of a positive reaction. Had 5 or 6 songs I think and included Omair Soomro on drums as well as bass.

The band went into a reconstruction phase then. We were tired of just doing short-fast-loud kind of 1 minute 2 minute songs, and wanted to build our sound further. We got Dionysus axeman Sheraz on Lead as well as Rhythms and he took most of the songwriting duties and we've been a better and more professional band ever since. The Anger Management demo released this year in 2012 had a great response, better than we ever expected especially from South Asian thrashers. We started doing longer songs and added more influences to our spectrum of sounds. We also played a gig and were apparently the best band of the show.
Nowadays, we have upgraded our equipment and are recording our first EP called THVG, and one song from us is gonna be featured on the upcoming GHALAZAT split featuring Jugaa, Sangharsha, Urga Karma, Terrifyer, Binaash and Kali Gula.

Vishal - What are the lyrical themes you guys use in your song?gore, horror, politics, anti religion etc..
Hassan - Up until the Anger Management demo the lyrics have just been shit that's on my mind. It's sometimes funny like Kill the Principal on the BITP demo, or serious like the song Anger Management. Nowadays I'm writing some fictional, story-telling kind of lyrics to accompany my usual ranting on the microphone. The song THVG Anthem from the new EP is an example. It's about a leader of a gang giving a speech to his people before they go and fight the other crew.

Vishal - How it feels to be in a Underground Scene? And do you appreciate your underground scene?
Hassan - How does it feel like to be in a public washroom where you can smell everyone's shit and piss? And worse than that, there's piss leaking on the floor, shit stuck on the walls, and worst of all - the flushes don't work! Hahaha. That's the underground scene of Pakistan. We have disassociated ourselves from the so-called underground scene of Pakistan from the very beginning. We have our own toilet where we shit in! Hahah.

But the scene in countries like Nepal and Sri Lanka looks very good in comparison. I guess it varies from country to country.

Vishal - Which are the bands that have influenced your band most?

Hassan - Right now our influences would be Sacred Reich, Sepultura, Municipal Waste, Celtic Frost, Testament, Evildead, Coroner. Our influences now are more thrash than crossover/hardcore, but we retain the elements. We've gone through a lot of evolution musically in the last year and a half and we don't sound like most thrash bands today, I can garantee you that, and our upcoming EP will back up that statement!

Vishal - What are the future plans of Foreskin? any tours, releases etc.
Hassan - Yup as I stated before we are working on an EP, and we are always looking to play gigs. We'd also love to play in regional countries such as Nepal, Sri Lanka and India, if time and VISA regulations allow us to.

Vishal - What is your opinion on sites posting Underground Materials?
Hassan - If it weren't for such sites, I wouldn't be into a lot of the music I listen to now! But it's important to support the band by buying their actual stuff, provided you have the financial means. Here in Pakistan we don't have PayPal and other stuff that makes it easy to purchase bands CD's so we're kind of fucked. Hahah.

Vishal - How do you guys feel about the classifications in metal? like deathcore, metalcore and other subgenres..
Hassan - Classifications are there for a reason! As long as the classifications are correct I have no problem with it. Because otherwise, Crowbar and Severe Torture are both just "metal" even if their sound is completely different. Also, it is completely normal to classify. If food can be classified into different types, why not music? Hahhah.

Vishal - In general term extreme metal isn't appreciated by Society what do you have to say on this?
Hassan - In general terms, society sucks!! Society can fuck off, extreme metal and for that matter extreme punk (grindcore, crust, anarco, hardcore) does not need to be appreciated by society at all! These genres are ANTI-SOCIAL by nature, and everyone knows what happens when music is compromised to appeal to the average schmuck.

Vishal - Ok, what do you want to tell those peoples who rips off the band hard work and illegally downloads their music?
Hassan - No comment! If I state my opinion, it will turn into a long debate.

Vishal - Beside Foreskin you have any other projects too?
Hassan - Yes. Choots does Crust Punk/Grindore/Noise and I have a  hip hop project called Mad Loots. Sheraz has Dionysus (Death/Doom), Marwolaeth (Death Metal), and a couple other projects such as Ilhaam (Black Metal). Me and Sheraz used to have a death/grind project called Multinational Corporations that's split up now. Who knows, maybe we'll get together again in 2013 but right now we have other priorities.

Vishal - Is it hard surviving in underground Scene?
Hassan - Doesn't matter if it's hard or easy! We're not here to reach the top or be played on the radio. We're here to have fun.

Vishal - Metal has to be underground or metal has to go mainstream, what's your opinion?
Hassan - Seeing how underground scene is pretty shit and corrupted with mainstream ideals (over here in Pakistan at least), metal and all music should just sound good first and foremost. The rest will be dealt with later.

Vishal - What is your opinion on the current state of underground metal? esp. South Asia
Hassan - From my eyes, it's doing good in India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal. Pakistan is lagging behind way too much.

Vishal - Which is the album you want to take to your grave?
Hassan - Well, Agnostic Front's Victim in Pain. That album developed my personality a lot.

Vishal - Can you recommend us some good bands from your country?

Hassan - Yes! Dionysus (Death/Doom), Marwolaeth (Death), Myosis (Doom/Sludge), Necktarium (Black/Shoegaze), Lohikarma (Black/Ambeint), Bvlghvm (Powerviolence), Dusk (Death/Doom/Prog), Revolt (Tech Death) off the top of my head!

Vishal - Support Underground Metal, how much you agree on this quote?
Hassan - If the band is good, then support should come naturally. If they suck, and don't have any hope of improving, then chuck them in the trash can.

Vishal - Where do our readers can buy and listen your music and any other merchandise?

Vishal - How was the feeling of first Live show as a Foreskin? and how did the crowd reacted to your first show?

Hassan - The crowd was great. Real fun. I remember moshing along with the crowd during a crossover cover of Black Sabbath's Symptom of the Universe. And they shouted along with our own song Attack Of The Radioactive Posers. It was real fun!

Vishal - Ok, tell us more about the upcoming split with Binaash, Juga, Terrifyer and more?
Hassan - It's gonna kill!! Jugaa, Sangharsha, Binaash, Terrifyer, Ugra Karma, Kali Gula are some of the sickest bands from Nepal and it's an absolute honor for Foreskin to be alongside them. It's coming out in late December hopefully!

Vishal - Is there anything you hate most? like anything..
Hassan - If I started to list it would take me an eternity.

Vishal - Your dream metal fest line up?
Hassan - Hard question!! I guess it would look something like this - Exodus, Agnosti Front, Eyehategod, Entombed, Crowbar, Saint Vitus, Testament, Vio-Lence, Evildead, Celtic Frost, Sacred Reich, Integrity, Capitalist Casualties, Terror, Assuck, Ringworm, Napalm Death, Asphyx, DRI, Anthrax, Suicidal Tendencies, Autopsy, Cro-Mags, Grave, Dismember, Rotten Sound, Iron Maiden and Nasum! Some of these bands are ended now, which means I'll never see this lineup in my life! Hahaha.

Vishal - How do you look at this when Vocalist says "LOIFE" instead of "LIFE", is it a trend or..?
Hassan - I guess it depends on the person. I change pronounciation of words when I'm doing my vocals too, it's all about what makes the vocal melody stronger.

Vishal - Quick top 5 albums we must have in our collection.
Hassan - Agnostic Front - Victim in Pain. Hardore Punk classic. One of the best. Fast as fuck.
Cro-Mags - Age of Quarrel. Makes you wanna beat the fuck out of people. Great lyrics, great music, great vocals
Vio-Lence - Eternal Nightmare. Best riffset ever. Need I say more?
Iron Maiden - Iron Maiden. It's the first fucking album of one of the greatest bands of all time.
Napalm Death - From Enslavement to Obliteration. Definitive grindcore album

Vishal - Lastly, a space for you anything EUMSN have forgotten to ask you can tell us here?
Hassan - Watch out for our upcoming song from the new EP! Keep updated with us at https://www.facebook.com/foreskinband and http://foreskin.bandcamp.com/ CHEERS AND BEERS FROM PAKISTAN!! KEEP IT FUKING REAL! EUMSN rules!

Damokis (Grinder From Malaysia)

Agigi Bob from Damokis exclusively replies to Vishal of Eumsn Bones.

Official Facebook Page - https://www.facebook.com/jbgrinder
Band Biography :-
The band had been forming for a few years around since in 1995 where AGIGI(BOB) & FAUZI has been drilling hole out to find clues on how far the grindcore should be well accepted in the underground scene, especially in their homeland ,Malaysia.Despite the enthusiasm and braveness, they both then set a long-term agreement to get a fully motivated band to play just 'GRINDCORE' music and they did it with some new members,SHAH is recruited to handle the vocal part while AIN(TANDUS) is helping on the bass.Year later, they began to get a new monicker by the name DAMOKLES,which is a name taken from one of the lyrics that can be found on the SODOM "Agent Orange'' album.Lack of equipment and the time, forcing the band to be stranded for nearly 2 years doing nothing before SHAH & AIN forced themselves to leave the band in an hassle time. The payback has been lighted up in the mid 1998 where EPOL(LOGAM)happily joined in for the comeback and put on the bass responsibility.Getting started up all back was hard decision when the band could not still find any suitable vocal to fit in some of their songs that been written during EPOL presence. Not until when they spotted TASYRIF from AMITHRAGATA that later joined in a year later. This line up has been created with fully discussion on the motive of how the band should goes with this ‘grindcore’ scenario, thus the result was the official debut demo in February 2001,”Nevermind The Bastards…Here’s Damokis’’ which is recorded using a 4-traxs Fostex multicorders. This is where the monicker too had been changed from ‘DAMOKLES’ to ‘DAMOKIS’.

Lot of feedbacks and maturity critics has been received throughout the released and shows has been set-up too around their hometown.Felt lacking of sound ability, the band one again begin searching for a new members to join in.MUHAIRI(RY) is spotted to handle the bass while EPOL was switched on guitar.Shows after shows followed and the people are getting to know the existence of DAMOKIS around. It showed the band seriousness while onstage and the grind music that they played which make the demo completey sold out in just two months of it released.Getting back in the studio in early 2002 is a newer recorded traxs for a split with a grind/death band,ARGON. Released by BROKEN NOISE RECORDS(Malaysia),the cd is printed in a limit of a 1000 copies. It was well sold in the underground scenes and the acceptance from all over the globe makes this look like a classis pair of rare material.DAMOKIS flew then to neighbouring countries like Indonesia and Sabah to play along with those local act and getting more known through medias, zines and a few radio stations that kept promoting them before the shows started.

Later 2002,the band is back again in the studio and this time they recorded a 4 unreleased trax for their 3" single cd entitled ,’Ashamed Of Your Act’ under OGRASMATRON PRODUCTION(Malaysia). This 4 trax is a surprise for the members itself as they had get what they wanted to do much in the past oversenses from sounds, arrangement and the input power to it,that been loaded to this single. More shows has been poundering and booked but doesn’t seem to fail them to record again.A 3-way split cd is again recorded in early 2003 with PERPETUAL(sabah) & RENGKONG TEKELUAQ(kedah). This cd is on the limited offer price and has been released in March 2003.The battle begins when they started recording new traxs for upcoming projects.Feel free to browsewww.myspace.com/damokis or email em at agigi_gore@hotmail.com. All letter for correspondences, hatred, criticism or merely for friendships, drop to Bob@Agigi at No.8A, Jln Mawar 1, Tmn Mawar, 81700 Pasir Gudang, Johor-Malaysia.

Vishal - What are the themes you guys use in your lyrics?gore, horror etc..
A. Bob
- We like animated or anime fictions,a few gore n stuff and politicial shits but we are most likely like to talk what goes around us rather than talking without its existing.
Vishal - How it feels to be in a Underground Scene? And do you appreciate your local underground scene?
A. Bob
- Yes we luv much to our local scenes and the grew up bands where we find it is now up to the standard where bands and peoples are getting closer to another.we feels great to be a part of it and to contributing to the scene.
Vishal - Which are the bands that have influenced your band most and sound?
A. Bob
- We're likely influenced by GROINCHURN,a bit of NAPALM but most likely we're addicted to GROINCHURNM and BIRDFLESH from Sweden ahah.
Vishal - Do you remember your first show and what was it like?
A. Bob
- The first how was with the 1st vocal,SHAH at Negeri Sembilan along with good bands and we played only 3 songs since we're new and it turns out great although the crowd was not really knows what we're playing but that shows really leave a memento to us.

A. Bob
- I think that is shit when u get sumone downloading and post it out on the blog..you can posted it out if it is an old rare items whuich is hard to find and you can share it but for newer items its better to keep support of it and go get ya arse to buy it hahaha.
Vishal - Suggest us some of the good bands from your Country?
A. Bob
- I can tell it is INFECTIOUS MAGGOTS,BRAINDEAD,SUCCUBUS,HUMILIATION,NEGATION,WIDB,GORESLUTS,SICKNESS,BAHAJANG,MUNTAHDARAH that you all need to check out.
Vishal - How do you guys feel about the classifications in metal? like deathcore, metalcore and other subgenres..
A. Bob
- Metal is quite a universal nowadays where you get all mix of metal musics now but i still prefer the NWOBHM..but even metalcore or ur a deathcore or whatever core ur in do make good music coz good music make good listeners to buy ur materials and getting it spreaded.I hate bands making musics just because of making attraction to his girlfriend and u can find these idiots been supports by only female which knows nothing just because his boyfriend in a band..thats shit.
Vishal - Beside Damokis you have any other projects?
A. Bob
- Yes i do play or i can say session for my old time singaporean band,Demisor.I'm only heading towards my malay heavymetal band,FIRESTARTER.

Vishal - In general term extreme metal isn't appreciated by Society what do you have to say on this?
A. Bob
- Yes it's true but nowadays we can see that society is more to metal when metal is getting exposure in media and television.I can see a bunch of kids when their dad brings em wearing metal shirts and hey its metal now.
Vishal - Ok, what do you want to tell those peoples who rips off the band hard and illegally downloads their music?
A. Bob
- A simple word FOAD to you!!! go buy the album help the band and this is how we can grow the musics more further.
Vishal - Is it hard surviving in underground Scene?
A. Bob
- Yes of coz if you say it in Malaysia,we do have to work for a living.music isnt a making business money..we are addicted to work, eat and sleep and grind on thats how ahaha.
Vishal - Metal has to be underground or metal has to go mainstream, what's your opinion?
A. Bob
- I can say both but i stilk, prefer metal to be in the underground way as freedom of speech is not restricted sumtimes too mainstreams make ur sick.

Vishal - Which is the favourite song from Damokis and do you enjoy playing it live?
A. Bob
- Hahaha i can say the tracks of "DrunkMan" which is enjoyable to play with when we see the crowds and the bystanders singing along and laughing at the vocals of his reaction hahaha.
Vishal - Your biggest band moment? And how do you feel it?
A. Bob
- I feel great to see Dismember infront of me doing live and cool people and even Asphyx and Discharge are awesome.
Vishal - What is your opinion on the current state of underground metal?
A. Bob
- There is no current for me,all metal as individually the same only borders and expectations make you differents.
Vishal - Lastly, a space for you anything EUMSN have forgotten to ask you can tell us here?

Review of Bands Volume 1

Corpulent Deformity - Oh hey look another awesome band. I was honoured to see this band twice, once in Pokhara Dishormony III and at Drajeeling Headbanger's Assault. If the words "breakdown" and "Neckbreak" used in the same sentence don't excite you sexually then you are hopeless.GO DIE YOU GAY!! Unmerciful, destructive deathcore from Kurseong will toss you into a dizzying tailspin for several hours. They throws a few grooves and slam influences together with some serious riffing/soloing and guttural growls and you will find yourself in the body throwing mosh.Oh hey look another awesome band. fine fine here is a real word, the band is for you sick fucks.

If Hope Dies - Saw this guys at Headbanger's Assault, Darjeeling. They are very tight and energetic on stage and honestly this band makes you want to pick up an AK-47 and overthrow the government, society and all the negative feedbacks.Whether that's a good or bad thing is up to you, but to me this band is so satisfying.I am proud to announce that I have joined them.To celebrate, here is my first appreciation for them - The brilliant melting of metal, and post metalcore elements on performance, something which speaks volumes about this band is full of energy.Rawrrrrr. One of those bands which you can enjoy LIVE until you don't break your neck or get overdozed.

Grossty - Everyone should step back and listen to this awesome grind from Banglore, two of their track "TV is full of crap" & "He goat is fucking a she goat" is up there for streaming, Grind is New to Nepali Metal heads because, most of the bands here are regular metal bands who follows the path of senior bands from their scene. Honestly, I get uncomfortable when peoples start talking about grind here because, they all thinks it's a part of metalcore, deathcore etc. because it's a GRINDCORE. funny isn't it? anyway, there's only one way to do it, that way lies stagnation, grind is what you make of it, leave the rules and regulations to the clowns. The point of this is before anyone tries to go telling everyone what is and what isn't "grind" they should probably realize that they don't have a fucking clue and should probably not talk their righteous douchery and must not post onto the Internet because it will come back to haunt them. Trust me, 10-15 years from now, you'll be downloading some awesome Grind..anyway, I highly recommend this band to you all.. must check

Driving The Illusion - How about some motherfucking sci-fi themed tunes? Do you like horror? Do you like natural death? Do you like having your face sandblasted? Do you want to get isolated until the skull covering your irrelevant little brain undergoes liquefaction? Do you want to die via hailstorm? If you answered "YES" to any of the previous five questions, get this One Man Band from Kathmandu.

Official Facebook Page - http://www.facebook.com/DrivingTheIllusion

Ugrakarma - One of the first extreme metal bands to come out of South Asia, they will absolutely rip your face off with this unrelenting and merciless display in their tunes. The guitar licks of Pratik Da imports death and thrash styles into the music while the vocal offering is a rather desperate sounding growl as if someone tuned Sunil Da vocals down an octave with several double-tracked, higher pitched howls thrown in for good measure.Complete with juggernaut blast beats, anyone looking for a good pounding metal in the sensitive area of Kathmandu should check this band out..Simply, Moster of Live.

Official Facebook Page - http://www.facebook.com/Ugrakarmaofficial

X Angle & Diablo X - dherailai thaha cha, black metal really isn't my thing. Sure, I'll listen to 1349, Marduk, Beherit etc. the regular blackk metal bands are really isn't that interesting to me..but, this two band X Angle & Diablo X, both containing "X" (ha..ha..co-incidence or fun fact coming to all Black Metal bands) has a unique screeching vocals style , the riffs aren't regular and usual black metal riffs but has a fuzzy riffing and definitely melodic in a sort of sorrowful, hopeless way that really helps the Lady Vocalists (both band has a Lady Vocalist) to release energetic atmosphere that is wrapped up by their respective frontman in a very melancholy fucking good. This both band offers up a hearty slab of solid black metal at times incorporating a style similar to channels of evils, particularly into the riffage, along with a mixture of burly screech, growls and scratchy rasping on the vocal side of things. Sounds good, right fuckers? Find out for yourself it's number is 666.

Homicidal Bleed - Had absolutely no idea this band was coming out but fucking hell what a surprise? This is probably one of the best thing Brutal Lunch Box witnessed, excellent..I know that many people were both impressed and unimpressed by Homicidal Bleed debut show. So that is good news for both crowds. This time around they concentrate less on regular slam sections and more on hissing atmospheric herbal reaction of slam and more grooves..Do check 'em.

Official Facebook Page- http://www.facebook.com/homicidalbleed

Calamitian -...no but seriously this Band makes me want to destroy things, you should join me..that will likely lead to the destruction of a few voting poll stations...sounds good to me. Seriously..."Calamitian" is thick, punchy, slam death metal from Kathmandu taking influences from a host of bands that I am way too fucking lazy to list off right now, so suffice to say that it slays and you should probably get on this ship as soon as possible.. Once, you go Slam, you will never walk out from Slam !!

Official Facebook Page- http://www.facebook.com/Calamitian

Broken Hymen - One listen to this will teach u that this is not ur typical Swedish Dismember, Entombed or Grave imitation. This thing is thick, razor sharp, down tuned and just plain old junkyard dog mean. The riffs will crush your skull into a pulp, the drumming will crush that pulp into a soup, and the production and vocals run that soup into the sewers. It should be very interesting to see what these guys churn out at Periodic Bleeding .. \,,/

 Official Facebook Page- http://www.facebook.com/brokenhymen666

Fall - nowadays, Porn is Fake too with so many plastic toys around..Dildo do u like that?? Fuck, i am not picking up a girl who plays with it.. anyway, I saw Fall - a first Pornogrind band in Nepal for the very first time and i was like, KILL said this has porn and Oh boy does it have riffs? Riff's hard, seriously if you haven't seen this band (In which case, where the hell have you been?) get on it faster than balls..and balls are fast..Yeah and don't complain about the vocals, otherwise I will personally arrive at your house and kick you right where the sun don't shine, right..Fuck, most of you will probably see the metal vocalist growling and screaming, but hear me out. Imagine if Meat Shits, Grave Grinder, Torsofuck and Gut got together and had a 4 way sex child. That, in essence, is what FALL sounds like to me, and as a matter of fact they're pretty horny.Pure Sex worshippers are somehow mangled into a twisting mass of discordant song structures all over some meaty and filthy song structures. FALL rules and even if you hate PORN in general, TRY IT, it's worth.

Purgation (Death Metal from Kolkatta , India)

Official Facebook Page - https://www.facebook.com/PURGATION
Official Reverbnation Page - http://www.reverbnation.com/purgation
Official Myspace - http://www.myspace.com/purgationinc

Happy Deepawali to everyone and today I have Purgation, a Death Metal Act from Kolkatta.

Vishal - Can i get the story of your band and biography? What is the meaning of Purgation Inc. exactly means to the band?
Purgation:- Purgation was previously known as Flesh Protocol. Myself and Debanjan had planned to do something different from what the scene kids were drooling over at that point of time. The city longed for a must needed change. As soon as we got hold of two other like minded people we started hitting the rehearsal pads. After a few months we went for a couple of changes in our line up with a second guitarist in our band. The line up at the beginning of new year, 2011 was Debanjan bro on guitars, Denzil on guitars, Ayushman on bass, Abhinava on drums and Yours truly on Vocals. Arijit replaced Abhinava on drums who had to leave the band around mid August'12 due to some unavoidable circumstances.Actually the name of the band is Purgation and not Purgation Inc. We added the "Inc." word to our page just to identify it separately from our group.Purgation means "cleansing" to be very precise. Immaculate the false, as simple as that.

Vishal - What are the lyrical themes you guys use in your song?gore, horror, politics, anti religion etc..
Purgation
:- I am a huge fan of Occultism as well as politics, war and anti socialism. I prefer writing it in such a way that turns out to be an in-your-face material. So our lyrical themes hover around these topics.

Vishal - How it feels to be in a Underground Scene? And do you appreciate your underground scene?
Purgation:- Never really gave it a thought. But it feels great when people from other renowned Underground Scenes appreciate our music. Couple of years back we had nothing called an underground scene out here. People used to run commercial gigs under the tag "Underground Metal Gig". Putrid Ascendancy was formed approximately a couple of years back. It helped to inspire a lot of bands and we are really having a so called SCENE out here but nevertheless there is a long way to go.

Vishal - Which are the bands that have influenced your band most?
Purgation:- It’s a long list but we can start with a few Indian acts such as Dying Embrace and Kryptos and of course Orator from Bangladesh. Other influences include Suffocation, Dying Fetus, Immolation, Sinister, Decerebration, Death, Deeds of Flesh, Cannibal Corpse, Autopsy and i can keep on writing till eternity.

Vishal - What are the future plans of Purgation Inc.? Any tours outside your Country?
Purgation:- We have planned to release our debut EP called "Exterminated Malfeasance" as early as possible. The time is not yet finalized. We are looking for a proper record label so that we can start working with our full length as well. We are playing in the "Death Skull Ritual" gig organized by our brothers from Primitive Invocation in Bangladesh alongside heavyweights Orator and Nuclear Winter. Looking forward to other Underground gigs as well.

Vishal - What is your opinion on sites posting Underground Materials?
Purgation:- It is a good way of educating the mass these days. Social networking sites can be used as a very good weapon for promoting more and more Underground Music and stuff.

Vishal - How do you guys feel about the classifications in metal? like deathcore, metalcore and other subgenres..
Purgation:- What the fuck is all these?

Vishal - In general term extreme metal isn't appreciated by Society what do you have to say on this?
Purgation:- A few lines from our original "Immaculate"
Young blood cry, deprived of rights
Corruption is an evil swine
Should they die with both hands tied?
With bodies beheaded and burnt alive

Vishal - Ok, what do you want to tell those peoples who rips off the band hard and illegally downloads their music?
Purgation:- Its high time people realize and they start buying music and merchandise so that the bands get appreciated in one way or the other.Downloading music will only help in flooding one's hard disk with a lot of "discographies". You call yourself a metalhead? Keep your fucking horns in your pocket and shove your internet up your ass.

Vishal - Beside Purgation you have any other projects too?
Purgation:- No.

Vishal - Is it hard surviving in underground Scene?
Purgation:- Not at all. If you play what you love and if it matters to you the most, then I don't think it is that difficult surviving in the underground scene.

Vishal - Metal has to be underground or metal has to go mainstream, what's your opinion?
Purgation:- Fuck mainstream music. I am cool with people following a lot of death metal, I won't call it mainstream.

Vishal - What is your opinion on the current state of underground metal?
Purgation:- In India? It is getting better day by day. A couple of years back we only had emo haired eunuchs and lamb of god dickheads roaming around the city.

Vishal - Which is the album you want to take to your grave?
Purgation:- Death-Scream Bloody Gore

Vishal - Can you recommend us some good bands from your country?
Purgation:- Dying Embrace and Kryptos Fucking A.

Vishal - Support Underground Metal, how much you agree on this quote?
Purgation:- It’s like asking your own mom for a blowjob. This is complete bullshit. In a couple of years time we might see it in newspapers too. People out here don't make it a point to justify what they actually talk about.

Vishal - Where do our readers can buy and listen your music and other merchandise?
Purgation:- We haven't released any kind of merchandise or CDs but people can follow us on :

Vishal - In near future any bands from Nepal approaches to you for a split album, you will approve this or..???
Purgation:- Nepal. Fuck Yeah!

Vishal - Lastly, a space for you anything EUMSN have forgotten to ask you can tell us here?
Purgation:- Nepal and Indonesia are two countries we want to play at any time of the year. So it would be great if EUMSN can get us down there so that we can address a much better and educated crowd.

Well, that was Purgation and I request all our readers and supporters to go visit their Facebook, Myspace, Reverbnation account and pour some sickness on their page. Good night sick fucks and once again, Happy Diwali .. \m/
